With the COVID-19 cases on the rise again in Oregon, we have decided to hold online school from Sept-December. There are multiple reasons for our approach: our room sizes are small and we will not be able to implement proper precautions of social distancing. Also, we have students from level 1-12th, and the younger kids are obviously not vaccinated which puts them and their families at risk. Some of our staff is Immunocompromised and we have to take their safety into account as well. Mandating masks in the school might not be enough of a precaution. Based on these reasons, we hope to hold online school the first 3 months of the school year. We will revisit this policy in December around winter break for the next three months. Asalamu alekom, This Sunday May 23rd our classes will only be 1 hour total, 10am-11am. Each class will be only 30 minutes with no break in between. And replace the rest of the email with: We are freeing up the rest of the school day for a drive thru Eid Party at Bilal Masjid. We will have fun activities, pizza, doughnuts and goody bags with toys to celebrate Eid. Drive Thru will be from 11:15am-1:15pm. Try your best to make sure your kids do not miss out on this special day! Let’s make it a fun celebration for everyone Insha Allah.

Asalamu alekom and Ramdan Mubarak, To celebrate the beginning of Ramadan, Bilal Sunday School inshallah will be handing out Goody Bags and Ramadan journals for our students today at 5 PM right before Asr Prayer. We encourage everyone to come inshallah. If you are not able to make it, here are alternative days: Sunday April 11th 5 PM Tuesday April 13th 6 PM (Right before Asr which is at 6:15 PM) Friday April 16th 2 PM (Right after Jummah which is at 1:30 PM) All 3 dates will all be at Bilal Masjid inshallah. Aslaam Aalikum Parents Bilal Sunday School welcomes you to another year. We invite you to register your child(ren) for the 2018-2019 academic year. The first day of the school year will be Sep 9th. General Information This year we will continue to do both electronic and in-person face-to-face registration. Instructions are in the Registration section below. Please read the Discipline and the Dress Code Policy. Students will not be allowed to attend classes if dress code is violated and will be referred to disciplinary committee for violation of disciplinary code. You must agree to the policy when registering online and you will be required to sign a form if you register in-person. The school will start at 10:30 AM on September 9th, so plan to be there at 10:15 AM. If your child comes late, you will need to accompany them to the office and they will be marked late for that day.
