    Assalamalkum, Insha’Allah we are starting our lecture series for 2017-‘18 season in September with Dr. Youseff Ismail, faculty member of Zaytuna College in Berkley California. He will be visiting us in the weekend of September 30th. Along with the Khutba on Friday, Dr. Youseff Ismail will give a talk titled Eclipsing The Nafs, on September 30th, Saturday at 5-6:45 PM, in Bilal Masjid. Please plan on attending with your family and friends.  
  2. First day of School – Sept 10th at 10:30AM to 1:45PM

    Asalaam Alikum Parents and Students, Bilal Weekend School welcomes you to another school year 2017-18. The classes start Insha’Allah on Sunday Sep 10th at 10:30 AM and end at 1:45 PM. Please make sure you arrive early to ensure your child is in class by 10:30. We will have lists of all students and the classes they are going to available in the school on Sunday. These lists will be posted at several places and in front of the door of their classroom. Snacks for Children – Please send healthy snacks, a drink and a jacket for your child for the break time during Sunday school. School Materials – Please make sure your child has pencils, notebook, coloring pencil, and any basic materials you can provide. Please communicate with your childs teacher about any other material your child may need. Quickschools – If you are new to the school you may not be aware of quickschools. This system is where you can communicate with teachers and check on your childs progress. If you did not get an email invitation to quickschools please contact bassam@bilalsundayschool.com. Special Morning Class: For parents with students attending special morning class, please be sure to come by 9:30 AM.   3. Registration Information for 2017/2018

    Aslaam Aalikum Parents  Bilal Sunday School welcomes you to another year. We invite you to register your child(ren) for the 2017-2018 academic year. Because of Eid ul Adha, this year the first day of school will be Sep 10th.  General Information    This year we will do both electronic and in-person face-to-face registration. Instructions are in the Registration section below.  Please read the Discipline and the Dress Code Policy. Students will not be allowed to attend classes if dress code is violated and will be referred to disciplinary committee for violation of disciplinary code. You must agree to the policy when registering online and you will be required to sign a form if you register in-person.  The school will start at 10:30 AM on September 10th, so plan to be there at 10:15 AM. If your child comes late, you will need to accompany them to the office and they will be marked late for that day.  Tuition rate is going up by modest 5-6% after 4 years, due to increased expenses.   5. Project Fair

    Assalamu Alaikum Parents, We wanted to remind you, that this Sunday is the Islamic Project Fair. It will be held in the BMA Center and will be setup with tables for each level. Students will put their projects in the assigned section for their level. The carpets will be left in the prayer area, so if your student’s project is messy there will be a designated spot for them in the hallway. After they drop off their projects, they will go back to their classroom to have regular class. During break, they should gather in the BMA Center next to their project. Please make sure you (the parents) arrive at 11:00 to show support for your child and vote for the best project. After voting, we will pray salah and students will be dismissed to leave. Along with the Khutba on Friday, Ustadh Ali will give a talk titled Race, Racism & Islamophobia: Bracing for Life under Trump, on January 7th, Saturday at 5PM, in Bilal Masjid.   7. School starts at 9:30 AM, starting this Sunday November 6th

    Asalamu Alekom, The daylight savings ends November 6th, so turn your clocks back 1 hour before going to sleep Saturday November 5th. Due to this, school will begin at 9:30 AM and end at 12:45 PM. Please make sure to drop off your children by 9:25 AM at their classrooms. Pick up your children at 12:45 PM from the BMA center as usual.
  8. Registration extended for Level 1 Students.

    Assalam o alaikum, Bilal Sunday School has a few spots in level 1 for new families. If your child has turned 6 years old by Sept 1st, 2016, you may register online from now through Saturday Sept, 24th 10am. There is a $50 late fee per a student that is added to the Tuition.
